Learning Ladder has classes for Infants, Toddlers, Pre-School, Pre-K & School Age Children.
Learning Ladder has been referred to as a school within a child care center, a place where a child can laugh, learn, grow, and have fun. Safety is extremely important to us, which is why our doors are not only locked at all times, but why we have a security code just to enter the building. Our building consists of five classrooms in which we care for children from the ages of 2 months to 12 years old. Parents can rest assured in knowing that each of our head teachers are highly trained in early childhood development, while the remaining staff obtains all of their mandatory requirements on a yearly basis. All of our staff, however is caring and passionate about your child’s happiness, growth, and safety.
One thing our children love is the part of the day they get to enjoy the outdoors! With 2 large play areas fenced in right in the back of our building, children have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities as well as engage in group play. The black top is perfect for children to ride any of our tricycles, while our playground is the perfect area for children to run, slide, and swing away.
Universal Pre-Kindergarten
We are excited to announce that the North Rockland UPK Application for the 2023-2024 school year is now open! We are proud to offer Full Day Pre-Kindergarten for our North Rockland families with children who will be four years old by December 1, 2023.
The UPK program runs from 8:00am-1:00pm, but we also offer wraparound care from 6:30am-5:30pm for an additional fee.
Purple Room – Infants
We provide a safe an nurturing “home away from home” where your child can grow and learn every day by exploring new discoveries. We know how important the first transition away from home can be for both the child and parents, which is why we are committed to making this experience as easy as possible.
2-18 Months Old | Class Size: 8
Green Room – Toddlers
The most important aspect for a toddler is developing self-esteem and friendship, which is why we are committed to providing them with a safe and nurturing environment. We also understand how crucial hands on experiences are during this stage as the child begins to express curiosity with their surroundings.
At this stage a child is likely to start becoming curious about going on the potty and it’s something we embrace if it happens at school. We want to help you during “potty training time” so you don’t have to go through it alone.
18-36 Months Old | Class Size: 12
Pink Room – Pre-schoolers
As these children are making new discoveries daily and beginning to exert their independence, our program is tailored to open their eyes to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. In the classroom our approach is meant to engage the children with a healthy blend of art, music, and movement. During this time we are building the foundation that prepares them for Preschool.
3-4 Years Old | Class Size: 16
Yellow Room – Pre-K
This is a crucial age for lessons that encourage independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning. By focusing on small group instruction, independent play, and whole group activities we are helping children gain the necessary skills that prepare them for kindergarten. We teach children their letters, words, math concepts and valuable social skills as well as social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills that will stick with them as they move on to higher learning.
4-5 Years Old | Class Size: 21
